Western Orders of Chinese Porcelain

This exhibition catalogue comprises 33 fine pieces of Chinese export porcelain, ordered by Western clients, including armorial dinner services, bowls, cups, tureens, jugs, teapots and figures of foreign shape and decoration. Among the pieces researched in this scholarly catalogue are a Wanli period (1573-1620) flask with the arms of King Philip II of Spain, a set of three graduated famille-rose tankards and an impressive Qing dynasty nodding head figure.
