Published to accompany an exhibition at the Hong Kong Museum of Art for the 3rd Festival of Asian Art, displaying bamboo from Dr Ip Yee’s well-known collection as well as other museum and private collections in Hong Kong and abroad. Part II contains an index of bamboo carvers, including pseudonyms and discussions on bamboo.

A valuable reference set on a subject in which relatively little has been published in English, and the most extensive work to date on carved bamboo. Rarely seen as a set.
