This catalogue focuses on the leading masters of the Song dynasty through to the Qing dynasty. Altogether, 98 pieces or sets of Chinese painting and calligraphy from the Chih Lo Lou Collection, including those by members of the “Four Masters of Ming”, namely Wen Zhengming and Tang Yin, the Songjiang School of painting led by Dong Qichang, “The Four Wangs” of early Qing, including Wang Shimin and Wang Hui, as well as members of the Qing dynasty “Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou”, such as Jin Nong and more.
